Priscilla Romanov, LCPC, CADC

I have been in private practice for seventeen years. My background includes working in a behavioral health setting for more than twenty years in both in-patient and out-patient programs, teaching at a junior college and facilitating Alzheimer’s care giver support groups.    My expertise includes working with those with mood disorders and addictions.  It takes a tremendous amount of courage, trust and insight to address the burdens that interfere with personal growth and healing.  I feel honored to share this journey with you and to earn your trust.  I believe the relationship between client and therapist is an important one.  My treatment approach is to provide validation, support and insight to assist clients in addressing current and challenging long-standing issues.  My focus in treatment is to aide in symptom identification and symptom management for those who suffer from mood disorders.  To encourage those with addiction to seek life-long recovery and to regain self-respect and dignity.  As someone who have dealt with loss I feel I have an understanding of the grieving process.  I feel confident in helping clients who have suffered loss may it be due to death of a loved one, loss of job, relationship or health.  I have learned to recognize, honor and validate this process.  These serious issues are not terminal; they are treatable and I welcome the opportunity to work with you and answer any questions you may have.  As a licensed professional counselor I work with many insurance companies including BCBS, Aetna, United Behavioral health and Cigna.
